My name is Chris Gentry and welcome to CGNN. Here's some CG history for your knowledge in case you wanted to know. First and foremost I have a passion for skateboarding and have been competing as a vert skateboarder since 1987 and still currently compete in professional competition's and perform show's around the world. I've been in the action sports world over 27 years being viewed in skateboard magazines such as Transworld, Thrasher, Skateboarder, Juice, The Source and Big Brother Magazine's and featured on ESPN - X Games, NBC – Gravity Games / AST Dew Tour’s, CBS - LG Action Sports World Tour, MTV Sports and Music Festival’s, VH-1 – Eminem Ultimate Albums, FOX 54321, FUEL TV – Daily Habit, Skatepark of Tampa Pro contests and most World Cup Skateboarding contests around the world since 1989. I still live in Houston, TX. with my son Micah and I also live in Orange County, CA.

Born in Houston, Tx. I started building my own ramps at 8 years old and soon became one of the top skaterboarders in the nation winning numerous amateur competitions around the country. In late 1991, I turned Pro and traveled on a 14 country European tour with the Vision Street Wear team ,then toured with the MTV Sports and Music Festival in 1992, and the Lollapalooza tour in 1992. Skateboarding has taken me around the world since 1988... and I'm still Pro Ridin til the wheels fall off.

You can usually find me skating at the Lee and Joe Jamail Skatepark or Southside Skatepark in Houston, TX. or Tony Hawks ramp, the Block in O.C., Encinitas YMCA or any where a MPC Production, Spohnranch Ramp, Dagger ramp, California Skatepark or Team Pain ramp is set up. I skateboard for the love of the sport and I love performing on show's like “Matt Hoffmans Crazy Freakin Stunt Show” at Universal Studio’s in Orlando, FL. that is now called the Matt Hoffmans "Aggro Circus" in which I've skated over 800 show's since 2003-2010. Matt Hoffman is the true definition of a Pro Rider.

In 2007,I brought the Pro Riders to Fort Hood, TX. for the Pro Riders Freedom Fest, welcoming home the soldiers that fight for our freedom. Thanks to all our troops! We are free to do what we do because they do what they do. Anytime we can help the world we will "Ride For The Cause".

Not only do I love skateboarding, but I also love music and lyrics. I've been known on the Pro Rider circuit for my albums Gentry and Mr. Kane “Gangstarock” , “Sayz Who”, “The Ride Shop”. I did songs like “Skaters Union” , “Ink and Paper”, “Time Out” and “Riders Meeting”, trying to shed light on the frustrations of action sports athlete's getting “Ripped off more than a Hulk Hogan Shirt”. My latest album “Part Of The Puzzle” is full of some legendary punch lines that will Protivate your wildest Pro Rider desires and give you some good times to Dag Til Dawn too. Check the album's on Itunes and step up your Procabulary for Pro Ridin. Come ride with me ya'll!

I also founded P.R.O. (Pro Riders Organization) the organization "For the Riders... By the Riders" and I'm a Co-Founder of Pro Riders, Inc. proriders.com “You Pro Ridin... or you just ridin”. a brand and organization built to feed and Protect not only the riders, but the world.” We Ride for the cause”. I have turned motivation into Protivation, potential into Protential and the vocabulary into a Procabulary. Make us PROud. Ridaz Gotta Ride, Skate or Die are the slogans I still live by. Ain't No Business Like Pro Buisness!

This was the back cover of Transworld Skateboard Magazine in 1991 for my first Chris Gentry Pro model. The Gin-Tree. The right photo is the NSA am contest in Reno, NV that I got first place in Mini ramp and third place on vert. That was the contest that turned me Pro. Ridaz Gotta Go PRO! CG

The left photo is an article that was in Skinnie Magazine. The right photo is the cover for Formula One's wheel's Super Motor Vixens video for ACME Skateboards. Ridaz Gotta Have History!

Ride on Ya'll. Thanks for ridin with me on this historical CG journey that I had and still have goin on. Stay tuned for more action's and adventures right here on CGNN your Neighborhood Network. Keep in touch and see you soon in a hot spot near you! Ridaz Gotta Ride!
